You can actually learn Amatuer Radio on your own time at your own pace. David Casler on YouTube is a very good instructor on this hobby! You can go through the training right on YouTube. He updates the training as the exam bank is updated.
You can also take the practice exams on line and there are various sources of this. Here is a few to refer to. You can also do a search online for Ham Radio Practice Tests.
If you take the practice exams until you score a 95-100% every time then you are ready to take the exam. The practice questions and answers are the exact same ones used in the test and they are not modified.
Once you are ready you can take the exam where ever they are provided.
